Hi There!

Question - Which contains a past or present perfect tense verb error?

Answer - B) It is raining for three days now and I'm not sure when it will stop.

Why - The reason I state option B is because when the answer says "It is raining for 3 days) that dosen't make any sense and that when you it is it is present tense and the fact that the answer states 3 days is wanting to be past tenses. The correct way is "It has been raining for 3 days now."

Hope This Helps :)

The dictionary definition that best reflects the word "interpose" as it is used in the passage is "to put in a remark or question in the midst of a discourse."

What is the meaning of "interpose"?

All of the options presented as answer choices are possible meanings of "interpose," but we must take the context into consideration. As we can see, the passage is a dialogue and, as one person is talking, the other one "interposes."

That means the second person put in a remark in the midst of their discourse, that is, the conversation was interrupted when he said something.

With the information above in mind, we can choose definition 3 as the correct answer.

topjm [15]

This question is incomplete because the information about the research is not included; here is the complete question:

Panyin wants to use this research for her informative essay. Because organic foods are produced with few or no pesticides, organic foods are less likely to have harmful effects than conventional foods.

Which topic sentence is best supported by this research?

A. Research shows that organic farms can coexist with traditional farms, to the benefit of both.

B. Research shows that organic foods pose less danger to human health than non-organic foods.

C. Research shows that people who consume organic foods with no pesticides will live longer.

D. Research shows that pesticides used on fruit trees can have a negative impact on farmers.

The correct answer B. Research shows that organic foods pose less danger to human health than non-organic foods.

Explanation:

The research Panyin found shows organic food might have less negative effects than those that are non-organic due to the use of pesticides in non-organic foods. In this context, this evidence would best help Panyin to support the idea "Research shows that organic foods pose less danger to human health than non-organic foods" because the evidence is directly related to this main idea as both focus on the effects of non-organic foods in human healthy. Thus, this is the topic sentence this research directly supports.
