Answer;

x1 + k (x2-x1) , -14 + 3/8 (2-(-14))

x1 = -14, k = 3/8 and x2 =2

Thus; -14 + 3/8 (2- (-14))

Thus; the expression that correctly uses the formula to find the location of point R is;

= x1 + k (x2-x1) , -14 + 3/8 (2-(-14))

<span>the directed line segment from Q to S has endpoints Q at –14 and S at 2. Point R partitions the directed line segment from Q to S in a 3:5 ratio. </span>

So R = x1 + 3/5 ( x2 – x1)

R = -14 + 3/5 ( 2 – (-14))

<span>R = -4.4</span>

Answer: Keegan is correct. None of the expressions are equivalent to one another.

The order of operations, PEMDAS, tells us that we do exponents first before addition. This is because the "E" in PEMDAS comes before the "A".

If we wanted to cube all of "6+4", then we would need to say "the quantity 6 plus 4 cubed" or something like "the cube of the sum of 6 and 4".

As the "Model It" sections show, none of the expressions result in the same value. Michael gets 1000, Morgan gets 280, while Keegan gets 70. Therefore, none of the three expressions are equivalent to one another.

The present age of Sita's father is three times of Sita's present age. After 6 years the sum their age will be 69. Find their pr
Papessa [141]

Age of Sita is 14.25 years and her father is 42.75 years

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Step 1: From given details, let present age of Sita be x and that of her father be 3x.
  • Step 2: Form equations based on their ages in 6 years. (Given sum is 69)

⇒ (x + 6) + (3x + 6) = 69

⇒ 4x + 12 = 69

⇒ 4x = 57

⇒ x = 14.25

  • Step 3: Calculate age of Sita's father

⇒ 3x = 42.75

Water is being sprayed from a nozzle at the end of a garden hose of diameter 2.25 cm. If the nozzle has an opening of diameter 1
Gwar [14]

Answer:

4.67 m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of continuity for an incompressible fluid is A1v1 = A2v2 where A represents area and v is velocity of the fluid.

If we let the values with subscript 1 be those inside the hose and 2 be those at the nozzle then the question can be solved this way

A_{1} v_{1} = A_{2} v_{2} \\\\(\pi *0.01125^{2} )*v_{1} = (\pi *0.00065^{2} )*14\\\\v_{1}  = 4.67 m/s
