Hey there!
In our slope-intercept equation, b is the y-intercept, where the line crosses the y-axis. In our case, that happens to be -5, because that's where the line intersects the axis.
Now, we're finding m, or the slope. The slope is defined as rise over run. We can use our slope given two points formula, y2-y1/x2-x1 to find the slope.
For our two points, we'll use the intercept: (0,-5) and the other intercept: (6,0)
Let's plug in our values:
0-(-5)/6-0 =
5/6
Therefore, 5/6 is the slope.
Hope this helps!

Which is the equation of a line that is parallel to the line represented by y = 7/6x + 4?
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

The answer that you are looking for is basically y = 7/6x + any number besides 4.

Step-by-step explanation:

So, two parallel lines are two lines that will never intersect. To have that, both of the lines have to have the same exact slope. But they cannot have the same y-intercept because that would change it from parallel to infinite solutions.

I hope that I helped.

What do hyperbole equations have in common
faltersainse [42]
Iagram of a hyperbola: All hyperbolas share common features. A hyperbola consists of two curves, each with a vertex and a focus. The transverse axis is the axis that crosses through both vertices and foci, and the conjugate axis is perpendicular to it. A hyperbola also has asymptotes which cross in an “x”.

baherus [9]
Let's do this.

7. 2880 ÷ 12 = $240 per month are put into his savings. 240 ÷ 3 = 80, and 80 × 20 = 1600. Ryan gets paid $1600 a month.

8. 318.50 × .3 = 95.4, so $95.40 gets taken off, making them pay $223.10.
With their other coupon, another $33.47 will be taken off, making the final price $189.63.

9. 41.2218649697%, which can be rounded up to 41.22%

Hope this helped.
