Read the passage from Animal Farm. It had come to his knowledge, he said, that a foolish and wicked rumour had been circulated a

t the time of Boxer's removal. Some of the animals had noticed that the van which took Boxer away was marked "Horse Slaughterer," and had actually jumped to the conclusion that Boxer was being sent to the knacker's. It was almost unbelievable, said Squealer, that any animal could be so stupid. Surely, he cried indignantly, whisking his tail and skipping from side to side, surely they knew their beloved Leader, Comrade Napoleon, better than that? But the explanation was really very simple. The van had previously been the property of the knacker, and had been bought by the veterinary surgeon, who had not yet painted the old name out. That was how the mistake had arisen. Which statement best expresses the theme of the passage? Workers need to organize for better health care. Dictatorships use lies to manipulate the populace. Sometimes, you cannot trust what you see with your own eyes. Relying on others is the only way to get through difficult times.

Answer:

Dictatorships use lies to manipulate

Explanation:

Boxer is the most loved animal on the farm. He is also a hard worker. His two favorite slogans were, "I will work harder," and "Napoleon is always right." Unfortunately for him, when he can no longer work, he is not given retirement, as promised, but is instead sent to the knacker. Even though Boxer was sent to slaughter, the dictatorship circulates the lie that he actually died content in the hospital. This makes the other animals feel okay at the loss of Boxer. The truth is that all the pigs wanted was rid of Boxer, who was no longer able to support their society. Ironically, at the very beginning of the book, Old Major told Boxer that when his muscles gave out, he would be sent to slaughter by Jones. While Boxer is still sent to the knacker's, it is by his supposed "comrades," the pigs.

Write a sentence stating whether you think it’s wrong to give away a gift that someone gave you.
omeli [17]

Answer:

You choose and buy someone a gift. You give that gift to them. They look in your eyes and say "thank you". It's a moment of love or friendship that has been banked, the bond has been deepened.

So does it matter what happens afterwards to the gift?

In other words, was it about the gift or was it about the moment? If it was the moment, then it should be OK, even a big plus perhaps, to pass the unwanted gift on to someone else and create a new moment.

While re-gifting issues can happen at any time, Christmas is the time that brings it all to a head, because so many gifts are flying around and it makes more sense to dip into it than at any other time.

I believe the correct answer is... A claim may be either debatable or factual, depending on the author

because in arguementive essays we state our claim and prevent facts to support our arguement. It definetly is not always true think of when you say "well Tasha claims that sarah hit her" sarcastically inferring it may not be true but it is what she said or believes.
