Whats up guys i need some heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp ty :)
Vitek1552 [10]

Answer:

37.7in²

Step-by-step explanation:

(Assuming the paper goes around the side of the tin only and not the top/bottom)

Imagine the net of this can. It is a cylinder, so it would consist of a rectangle and two circles, the surface area of this rectangle is what we're being asked for.

The length and width of the rectangle are needed to find the area, (area of a rectangle=length*width). The width is marked as 3in. The length is equal to the circumference of the circle (with radius 2in):

Circumference=2πr

=2π(2)

=12.5663706144=length

Area=width*length

=3*12.5663706144

=37.6991118431

≈37.7in²

a group of 4 pupils can take 2 weeks to do a certain job.how long will 12 pupils take to complete the job if they work at the sa
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

6 weeks

Step-by-step explanation:

Set up a proportion where x is the amount of time with 12 pupils:

\frac{4}{2} = \frac{12}{x}

Cross multiply and solve for x:

4x = 24

x = 6

So, it will take 12 pupils 6 weeks to complete the job.

The variable z is directly proportional to x. When x is 11, z has the value 44. What is the value of z when x = 21?
dimulka [17.4K]

Directly proportional, both increase/decrease, Multiple k(constant you needed to solve for)..

Inversely --one increases as the other decreases, increase the denominator & fraction gets smaller.... So

Problem:

Dirextly to X (× by X)

Inversely to Y, (÷ by Y)

Z= k X/Y

Solve, working backwards: Z =5 becomes

5 = k (X) ÷ (Y). And

X=15 and Y =9 becomes

5= k(15)/(9). Undo ÷9, ×9 both sides

45= k(15). Now undo ×15 by ÷15 both sides

45/15 = 3. So k=3, (also called your constant of variation)....and your Equation/Proportion becomes...

Z = 3X/Y

Use the new #s.... X=23, Y=14

Z= 3×23÷14 = 69/14. If they want spirochete answer divide and round to corresponding # if decimals
