Points ABCD are connected to form rectangle ABCD. If G is plotted at (7, 4), would rectangle EFGH be similar to rectangle ABCD?

Explain.
A) Yes, FG is twice as long as BC
B) No, for similar figures one rectangle cannot be inside of another.
C) Yes, corresponding parts have all been multiplied by the same scale factor.
D) No, corresponding parts have not all be multiplied by the same scale factor.

Answer: Option C

Step-by-step explanation:

if the point G was ploted in the point (7,4) we will have that:

The lenght of the sides are:

AD = 2 units

AB = 4 units

BC = 2units

CD = 4 units.

while for the other one we will have:

EH = 4 units

EF = 8 units

FG = 4 units

GH = 8 units

you can see that each side of the rectangle EFGH has twice the lenght of the corresponding sides in the rectangle ABCD. This means that each sides has ben multiplied by the same scale factor, where the scale factor is 2.

Then both rectangles are similar, and the correct option is C.

Virty [35]

Answer:

 f(-3) = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

The only point with an x-coordinate of -3 has a y-coordinate of 1. That is the value of the function f(x) for x=-3.

 f(-3) = 1

Shown here is the graph of which inequality? Please can’t figure it out I need SOME HELP
Annette [7]

Hey there!

Three points to keep in mind!

 • The given options are in standard form: ax+by=c
 • The line is a solid line, hence, the possible outcomes would be ≤ or ≥
 • The shaded part is above the line, hence, the symbol would be ≥

First, let's find the slope:

Slope : (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Slope : (0-3)/(2-0)

Slope : -3/2

Looking at line, we know that the y-intercept is 3 b=3

Slope intercept form:

y≥(-3/2)x+3

Let's now convert this into a standard form:

(3/2)x+y≥3

Multiplying all the sides with 2:

Remember that the coefficient of 'x' shall not be negative or a fraction!

3x+2y≥6 is the final answer!
