I'm not sure if you have any options to choose from - if not, this is the sentence I'd pick:
<span>She could see in the open square before her house the tops of trees that were all aquiver with the new spring life. 
This sentence shows us hope through the imagery of spring and everything being born or reborn. Even though she lost her husband, she would find a way to become happy again (or rather quickly, according to this story) which gives us a sense of hope.
