The Bill of Rights says that a person that was accused of a serious crime, they have the right to have a jury decide if there’s enough evidence to put them in trial and if they decide the person is not guilty, they can’t force the person to have a second trial. Also, if they’re accused, they have the right to have a trial, as long as is not long after the accusation and the trial has to be public. A person accused of a crime has the right to have a jury decide the case. Somebody who is going on trial has the right to know why they are being accused of the crime and has the right to have witnesses speak during the trial. If a jury decides that somebody is guilty of a crime, their punishment can’t be too harsh.
