Each bag has 3.5 pounds
they sell 45 bags a day
in one day the sell 45 x 3.5 = 157,5 pounds of apples
in one week (7 days) they sell 7 x 157,5 = 1102,5 pounds of apples

When Ximena commutes to work, the amount of time it takes her to arrive is normally distributed with a mean of 38 minutes and a
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

The interval that represents the middle 68% of her commute times is between 33.5 and 42.5 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

The Empirical Rule states that, for a normally distributed random variable:

Approximately 68% of the measures are within 1 standard deviation of the mean.

Approximately 95% of the measures are within 2 standard deviations of the mean.

Approximately 99.7% of the measures are within 3 standard deviations of the mean.

In this problem, we have that:

Mean of 38 minutes, standard deviation of 4.5 minutes.

Determine the interval that represents the middle 68% of her commute times.

Within 1 standard deviation of the mean. So

38 - 4.5 = 33.5 minutes

38 + 4.5 = 42.5 minutes.

The interval that represents the middle 68% of her commute times is between 33.5 and 42.5 minutes.

Rewrite the function W= 50+2.3(h-60) in order to express height as a function of weight
OLga [1]
You need to solve the equation for h.

<span>W= 50+2.3(h-60)

Distribute the 2.3.

W = 50 + 2.3h - 138

W = 2.3h - 88

Add 88 to both sides.

W + 88 = 2.3h

Switch sides.

2.3h = W + 88

Divide both sides by 2.3.

h = (W + 88)/2.3

Solve 3x2 + 4x = 2. TEACH me how to solve this.. I know what to do once I have it in the right forum... but I do not understand
sertanlavr [38]
So if it is 3x^2+4x=2 then
set one side to zero
subtract 2 from both sides
3x^2+4x-2=0
this is not factorable by normal means so use quadratic formula which is if you have the equation in ax^2+bx+c=0 form you can solve for x if you put it into this equation quadratic formula x=\frac{-b+ \sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a} or \frac{-b- \sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a} so if you were to input it into this equation you would get
a=3
b=4
c=-2

the solution is x= \frac{-2+ \sqrt{10} }{3} or \frac{-2- \sqrt{10} }{3}
the answer is  C
