During the renaissance, many thinkers who read the ancient texts and educated themselves started accusing the Catholic church that it didn't care about people and that it was dogmatic, always looking for ways to gather wealth and more power. These ancient texts came from many sources such as Plato and Aristotle from the western hemisphere, or as far away as india.

Well, now kids have different styles, they dont drive to school ^, they were more respectful back then, and there was no lunches or even bathrooms in the schools!?

Texas had lots of American immigrants at the time and had a lot of slave plantations that could of extended the south. Texas also had recently broken free from Mexico, and was made by American settlers who made their government based on the US. So, because of all this, America decided to annex Texas and incorporate it into the Union.
