The correct answer is:

The winner of the popular vote was not granted the president.

In the 2000 United States presidential election, Republican candidate George W. Bush won by defeating Democratic nominee Al Gore. It was the fourth of five presidential elections in which the winning candidate lost the popular vote, which means securing less of the national popular vote than the person who received either a majority or a plurality of the vote.

I believe that the answer to the question provided above is that when using popular vote he could have not won. But since popular vote is not used he was then given the title president elect.

What does what is the nature of this covenant mean in the question
Rama09 [41]

Breaking down "nature of this covenant"...

Nature refers to the characteristics of the covenant

A covenant is an agreement, sort of like an informal contract

While you didn't provide us with Chapter 19, versus 5 and 6, reading the rest of the question it can be inferred God is telling the Israelites to "keep his covenant."

To answer the question "What is the nature of this covenant?" read the chapter and ask yourself the following questions:

Is God stern with the Israelites? Helpful? Angry? Happy? Does He feel bad for them? Does He take pity on them? Are they loyal to God?

Does God get more out of the covenant than the Israelites do? Who does the covenant benefit more?

How do the Israelites feel about the covenant? How do they feel about their current situation in general? Does the convenant calm them? Inspire them?

Zepler [3.9K]

We pick question number 2.

Interest groups & political parties shape American politics in that both are powerful and influential groups that are led by smart leaders who have convictions and have tried to influence the public opinion of the American people throughout history.

Their presence has marked significant moments in important decisions that have shaped the history of the United States.

However, we have to say both groups are different in nature and use different techniques. Let's say they are different in nature.

> Political parties are formed by a group of people with similar approaches to political life and create platforms aimed to help the conditions of the citizens.

> The two most dominant political parties in the United States are the Democratic Party and the Republican Party.

> US citizens vote for their candidates to be their representatives in US Congress and create important laws based on people's needs and concerns.

> On the other hand, the main purpose of interest groups is to influence Congressmen to create the kind of legislation that can favor their political and economic interests.

> Many times, these interest groups hire the services of lobbyists to negotiate with legislators in Washington D.C.

Some examples of interest groups in the United States are:

- the American Bankers Association.

- the United Farm Workers of America.

- the National Association of Manufacturers.
