Mixed number = fraction so each friend gets 1.5/9 pieces of candy..

Each friend get 1.5 how did they get that?? Simple 6 pieces were handed out which means each friend got 1. There is now 3 left split those 3 in half that gives you 6 halves and you pass those out so now they each got 1.5 pieces
