The treaty that ended the war between China and Japan was known as the treaty of shimonoseki or treaty of Bakan and was signed in the year 1895 and the aim was to end the first Chinese Japanese war where the result of the war was the victory of Japan.

But even though this treaty was signed, it could not stop the happening of the second war between China and Japan because even after signing the treaty, tensions between the two nations did not end leading to the second war.
