First you had to used their group like terms equation.

=-6x^2+2x^2-8y^3-5y^3

Then you add by the similar elements equation.

-6x^2+2x^2=-4x^2

=-4x^2-8y^3-5y^3

Finally you add by the similar elements equation again.

-8y^3-5y^3=-13y^3

-4x^2-13y^3

Final answer: \boxed{=-4x^2-13y^3}

Hope this helps!

And thank you for posting your question at here on brainly, and have a great day.

The area of a door is 3024 square inches. If
olasank [31]

Answer:

Lets take all factors into consideration first

The door is a rectangle and the area of a rectangle is length times width

Let the width be w

Let the length be l

Equation length × breadth = area

(w+48)w = 3024

w^2 + 48w = 3024

w^2 + 48w - 3024 = 0

w^2 + 84w - 36w - 3024 = 0

w(w + 84) -36 ( w + 84) = 0

(w + 84) (w - 36) = 0

w + 84 = 0 AND w - 36 =0

w = -84 and w = 36

Since width cannot be negative, the right answer is 36

How did I get 84 and 36? Well, I had to factorize 3024 and since 84 times 36 is 3024 and 84 minus 36 is 48, I chose them.

A dwarf sea horse swims at a rate of 48.68 feet per hour. Convert this speed to inches per minute.
IgorC [24]

Answer:

9.94 rounded up

Step-by-step explanation:

1 ft = 12 inches....so 49.68 ft = (49.68)(12) = 596.16 in

1 hr = 60 minutes

596.16/60 = 9.936 inches per minute

A math test is worth 100 points and has 38 problems. Each problem is worth either 5 points or 2 points. How many problems of eac
Nat2105 [25]

Answer:

<em><u>5</u></em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>points</u></em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>question</u></em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>is</u></em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>8</u></em>

<em><u>and</u></em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>2</u></em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>po</u></em><em><u>ints</u></em><em><u> questions</u></em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>is</u></em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>3</u></em><em><u>0</u></em><em><u> </u></em><em><u>!</u></em><em><u>!</u></em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of 5 points questions be x and number of the 2 points questions be y !!

Given :- The paper has 38 problems

i.e,

number of 5 points Q + number of 2point Q = 38

=> x + y = 38

=> x = 38 - y .... ( i )

And , The test worth 100 pts :-

There must be x number of Questions which carry 5 points and there must y number of questions which carries 2 points ( as assume above )

so, 5x + 2y = 100 .... ( ii )

Putting value of the x in ( ii )

5 ( 38 - y ) + 2y = 100

190 - 5y + 2y = 100

- 3y = - 90

y = 30

Putting value of y in ( i )

x = 38 - y

x = 38 - 30

x = 8

So, the Number of 5points Question is

x = 8

and , the number of 2 points questions is y = 30 !!

1. What is extraneous solutions?
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

When you multiply through by the LCD and solve the resulting quadratic equation, you get solutions x=2 and x=1. However when we try to check the solution x=2, it causes the first and last denominators to become 0, which is undefined. However x=1 checks.
