After the victory in Normandy, Paris was liberated in August 1944 as the Allies pushed slowly eastward and the Soviet Union moved toward Berlin as well.
2. The D-Day invasion is significant in history for the role it played in World War II. D-Day marked the turn of the tide for the control maintained by Nazi Germany; less than a year after the invasion, the Allies formally accepted Nazi Germany's surrender.
During the time period that the Salem witch trials took place people believed that the devil was responsible for all evil in the world. because of this when the accusations floated around, people believed the devil was responsible and behind these attacks and the witches were basically Satan worshipers.
