Answer:

Option C. The infrastructure of the early United States developed mainly through water transportation as it was easier and faster to carry goods over water than over land.

Explanation:

During the 1820s and 1830s the United States began transporting more goods on river steamboats, canals were built to connect water routes throughout the country, as the nation saw a swift improvement in transportation and a rapid growth in factories, which meant more goods to trade between different regions. During this time water transportation was the main way in which businessmen decided to carry their products to different areas, as it was easier and faster to carry them over water than over land, mainly due to the fact that not every area had developed proper railroads, but where there was a river, or a canal, there was an easy way to transport products. Using water transportation was more time-effective than land transportation as well.

How was the origin of civilization in Peru similar to that of the river valley civilizations of Egypt and Mesopotamia?
faust18 [17]
The origin of civilization in Peru is similar to that of the river valley civilizations of Egypt and Mesopotamia is that both civilization settled in areas that were on rivers, this gave the people access to water which needed to live, transport goods and people, and most importantly plant crops. Because they were both by rivers the land was fertile which is a plus for settling in a location and not to mention of the individuals settling were not the first to think the area was great animals and plants thrived and lived in the area which is another food source. The people saw that plant and animal thrived in this area so they should be able to live in this area as well with ease.

Alinara [238K]

Answer:

In 1866, the results of Gregor Mendel's studies in heredity were published in Austria. His work on the inheritance of genetics paved the way for improving crops.

Explanation:

Gregor Johann Mendel was an Austrian biologist and botanist, Augustinian monk, and abbot. He is widely known as the founder of the doctrine of heredity. His discovery of the laws of inheritance of monogenic traits (these laws are now known as the Mendel Laws) was the first step towards modern genetics.

He published his findings in 1865, but his ideas were not noticed until after his death, in the early 1900s, when other researchers made the same discovery. Mendel is now recognized as the father of genetics.
