Answer:

B) to cleanse sticky fingers

Explanation:

"Finger bowls" are small bowls of water that are used in order to rinse the fingers before, after or between meals. These are commonly used when eating meals that need to be consumed directly with our fingers. In this case, as the food that is being eaten is fruit, it is likely that fruit will make a person's fingers sticky. Therefore, "finger bowls" are passed after the consumption of fruit in order to cleanse sticky fingers.

What refers to a conclusion based on evidence in the text.
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

An inference is an idea or conclusion that's drawn from evidence and reasoning. An inference is an educated guess. We learn about some things by experiencing them first-hand, but we gain other knowledge by inference — the process of inferring things based on what is already known

What is a persona non grata?
Alex787 [66]
Persona non grata from Latin- an unwelcome person.
This term is usually used in diplomacy, when due to some criminal/political actions a person is prohibited to enter a country. For example if a member of diplomatic mission is caught carrying out espionage missions he can be labeled "persona non grata", forced to leave a country and cannot return.

Persona non grata can also be used in less formal situation, when someone is not welcome in society/community due to his behavior.

Which two sets of lines from the Doctor's speech in the play Everyman show that Everyman has to make his last journey alone? Ye
inysia [295]
The sets of lines are: "And remember Beauty, Five-Wits, Strength, and Discretion/They all at the last do Everyman forsake" and "For after death amends may no man make,/For then mercy and pity doth him forsake."

The key word in finding this answer is "forsake," which means "abandon." The doctor is listing several abstract ideas (beauty, strength, etc.) that forsake or abandon him "in the end" and "after death." If all these traits are abandoning him, then we can infer that the doctor must go on this last journey alone.
