Answer:

The protagonist of the story would be Louisa. She is not necessarily a hero, but one of the main characters in the story. Many of the events and plot that happens reflects on Louisa. The main conflict in the story is when Louisa is asked to marry Bounderby, someone she does not love and barely knows. She is forced by her father, Mr. Gradgrind, and manipulated to marry him. Louisa was raised on Gradgrind’s philosophy of using only facts and concealing your emotions. She does not know how to behave and react like a normal human being, and hates her father for this. She would be the protagonist of the story because who the reader vouches for the most is her. She is the character readers want to be happy and feel emotions for what she goes through in the story.

viktelen [127]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you forgot to include the options for this question. Without the options, we can't select the sentence you mention. There are no sentences attached.

However, trying to help you, we could comment on the following.

English writer William Shakespeare helped to shape the English language because Shakespeare's plays influenced the way English was spoken in England. The way he used spelling, grammar, structure, and the vocabulary he chose to include in his plays, influenced the way people started to speak English.

So next time your teacher congratulates you for the way you speak English, thank Shakespeare for his influence.

Natali [406]

Answer:

In 1992, presidential candidate H. Ross Perot said that signing the NAFTA agreement would produce a "giant sucking sound" in the United States. He meant that NAFTA would make jobs in the United States go to Mexico, where laboral costs were lower, thus producing unemployment and poverty in the United States. In view of the events, 17 years later we can affirm that the fears of H. Ross Perot were never confirmed.
