How do people who supply their own water generally obtain it?
satela [25.4K]

Answer:

By digging tube wells

Explanation:

Water can be obtained from the land by digging a hole in the earth surface. The process is called boring. A tube well is a type of water well in which a long, 100–200 millimeters-wide, stainless steel tube or pipe is bored into an underground aquifer. In this way people who supply their own water to other areas or people generally obtain it by using tube wells where they attach a motor to it for speedy suction and then transfer the water to destination by using pipes.

On which projection does Africa appear much bigger than the other landmasses?
zhuklara [117]

Answer:

Africa appears much bigger than the other landmasses on the Peters map projection.

Explanation:

There are numerous projection maps. All of them have some advantages and some disadvantages. One of those map projections in the Peters map projection or Gal-Peters map projection. This map projection's biggest problem is that it stretches certain parts of the world, some horizontally, some vertically.

On this map projection, Africa looks much bigger than it is, and it is comparable with the size of Asia even though Asia is much bigger in reality. The reason for this is that on the Peters map projection a vertical stretching occurrs around the Equator, and since the Equator passes around the middle of Africa the effect is the biggest at this landmass.

Identify four changes that a stream undergoes before it reaches the ocean?
Yanka [14]

1 - The flow of the river may change as water is fed out into tributaries. 2- As a river flows it may etch out the river bed and create a gulley as it moves sediment and debris. 3- Depending on the speed of a stream it can form into a meandering river with twists and turns. What is interesting about these rivers is they actually move as debris is deposited on one side of the meander and picked up on the other. 4 - Depending on topography the river may increase in speed and give you rapids.
