How did humanism influence the works of renaissance artists and authors
Gennadij [26K]
The main way in which humanism influenced the works of renaissance artists and authors was that it put the focus back on the human mind and body as opposed to only God. This is exemplified in many works of art that focus on the body itself, especially in the realm of sculpture. <span />

How do monopolies affect the prince of goods ?
r-ruslan [8.4K]
We can say that in a monopoly, the price is always higher than the socially optimal price
EXAMPLE: a pharmaceutical company brings out a new medicine for diabetes. It acquires a patent from the government for the production of that medicine implying that only that pharma company has the right to produce the medicine till the patent expires. This leads to a monopoly situation in the market. Now this pharma company can charge the highest price possible so that its profit is maximum since it is the sole producer of that medicine.

Why did the independent government of Mexico encourage Americans to settle in Texas? A) They wanted Texas to be annexed by the U
Molodets [167]

Answer:

The answer is Option C: Settlers would help to control hostile Native Americans and pay a taxes to the Mexican government.

Explanation:

To encourage the settlement of Texas, the Mexican government encouraged immigration from the United States. By 1834 there were more Anglophones living in Texas than Mexicans. There were over 30,000 settlers from the USA compared to just 7,800 Mexicans. However, Mexican authorities became concerned about Anglo-American settlers who wanted to bring slaves into Texas as slavery was illegal in Mexico. The Mexican legislature prohibited further immigration by U.S. citizens as a result in 1830. This however led to resistance from the existing settlers and eventually led to the Texan Revolution in 1836.
