Douglass wrote about his meeting with Lincoln almost 20 years

History
1 answer:
slamgirl [31]3 years ago
5 0

Answer:

Because of the long time between the two events, there would be possibility of error in exact words and perception of its meaning.

Explanation:

After the twenty long years Douglass might not have a clear picture of what Lincoln had said. There is a high possibility that after this much long time he may have subconsciously or unconsciously modified what Lincoln had said a little to be what he wanted to hear. It is really difficult to recall the same words or meaning from an event, after twenty years of the event actually occurred.

bulgar [2K]
The correct answer for the given question above would be option D. The statement that is an example of a historical argument would be this: <span> Rome collapsed because of internal weaknesses, not because of attacks from foreign invaders. When we say argument, this means that it is a set of propositions made to show that a particular conclusion is true. It is not simply a statement of opinion, but rather an attempt to give reasons.
