Answer:

C. A translation and a dilation

Step-by-step explanation:

Of course it has to be a dilation as the size is obviously different. So that takes D out of the question. The angles are in the same spots as B is still at the highest on both triangles and so does A. Which means it just translated (moved/slide) to the right and up a bit.

What is the slope of a line passing through (7, 6) and (9, 0)?
r-ruslan [8.4K]
Slope is equal to rise over run. For this question we use 0-6=-6 as the numerator and 9-7=2 as the denominator, thus the slope is -6/2=-3

A cube has six sides that are numbered 1 to 6. The sides numbered 1, 2, and 5 are green, and the sides numbered 3, 4,
Katarina [22]

Answer:

5/6

Step-by-step explanation:

The sides numbered 1,2,5 are green and 2,4,6 are even

We cannot count the 2 twice, so there are 5 unique possibilities of getting either a green or an even

There are 6 total possibilities when rolling the die  1,2,3,4,5,6

P (green or even) = green or even/ total

                             = 5/6

The frequency table shows how many visits to the library students in a school have made in the last month.
vfiekz [6]
<h3>Answer:  2.8</h3>

=======================================================

Explanation:

Multiply each visit count with their corresponding frequency.

Examples:

  • 0*12 = 0 for the first row.
  • 1*366 = 366 for the second row
  • 2*53 = 106 for the third row

and so on...

I recommend making a third column like this

\begin{array}{|c|c|c|} \cline{1-3}\text{Visits} & \text{Frequency} & \text{Visits*Frequency}\\\cline{1-3}0 & 12 & 0\\\cline{1-3}1 & 366 & 366\\\cline{1-3}2 & 53 & 106\\\cline{1-3}3 & 52 & 156\\\cline{1-3}4 & 155 & 620\\\cline{1-3}5 & 243 & 1215\\\cline{1-3}\end{array}

That way you can keep track of all the results in an organized way.

Then add everything in the third column

0+366+106+156+620+1215 = 2463

Divide this sum over the total frequency (12+366+53+52+155+243 = 881) and we'll get the mean

2463/881 = 2.7956867

Rounding to one decimal place gets us to 2.8 as the final answer.

-------------

The much longer way to do this is to imagine 12 copies of "0", 366 copies of "1", 53 copies of "2", and so on. We'll have an extremely large data set of 881 items inside it. As you can see, this second method is definitely not recommended to actually carry out. Rather it's helpful to have this as a thought experiment to see why we revert to multiplication instead.

Eg: Imagine adding 155 copies of "4". A shortcut is to simply say 4*155 = 620
