Directions: Take 2 minutes to work with a shoulder partner and determine if the following introductions are weak or strong. Be s
ure to explain WHY! Workin part-time as a cashier at the Pily Wily has iven me a reat opportunity to observe human
behavior. Sometimes I think o the shoppers as white rats in a lab experiment, and the aisles as a maze
desined by a psycholoist. Most o the rats—customers, I mean—ollow a routine pattern, strollin up
and down the aisles, checkin throuh my chute, and then escapin throuh the exit hatch. But not
everyone is so dependable.
The given instructions do not have a sequence or set steps to follow. It does not even really explain what the narrator of the instructions is trying to do. It looks more like a paragraph from a novel than a list of instructions; its informal language and discussed behavior seem more like a person's inner thoughts.
