What role did geography played in shaping the eventual outcome of world war 2?

History
1 answer:
rusak2 [61]3 years ago

Answer:

Many

Explanation:

The Russian geographical location made their winter especially harsh. This impeded the advance of germany, or at least halted it until Russia was able to produce massive amounts of tanks and weapons.

The rainy environment and valleys and corridors also made it difficult for tanks to advance. Given that tanks were one of the main ways that armies would be able to break the lines, it became apparent that geogrpahical locations were key to holding down and strategize. geographical locations were also seen as targets. For instance, the rich oil lands of many european countries were targeted by bombers, or by military advance as a way to boslter their resources.

Evgen [1.6K]

Answer:

There were few reasons why North America didn’t develop any major civilizations similar to the mayans.

Explanation:

It is usually said that weather around Arid-America was rough. So, it was difficult to cultivate crops without use of modern machinery. There were lesser number of water bodies. So, keeping large number of people was difficult.

Present day US did have advanced type of civilization, but it did not get close to the mark of Aztecs or Mayans. North America had large cities, advanced societies and culture that were rivals of the Incas, Mayas and Aztecs. But they were less in numbers so were unidentified.
