While  writing a summery following thing should be considered.

part 1: To comply this one should think about what is the story about and how it is continued. So "what' and 'how' is the type of question one should think about.

part 2; the summery means to sum up the story in short to the audience. So it should not be that long. For example it can be within 300-400 words.

part 3: it will be best to write the summery in paragraph format.

part 4: while writing a summery it is important to cover up the significant details of the story. So one should include the main character, occurrence, climax and ending.

Answer:

Since I don't know what specific paragraphs, here's a template

TOPIC:

Topic Sentence

-What is this paragraph

going to be about?

This is your thesis statement/the focus of what

your paragraph will be about. 1 sentence

Introduce Textual

Evidence

-set up what your evidence

is going to be

This section lets readers know about what is

happening in the story (prior to you citing your

evidence). This section should be no more than 2

sentences.

Cite textual

Evidence -insert evidence correctly

(quotations/page number)

Cite your evidence properly. This should be an

actual example from the text placed in quotes with

the page number (no more than 3 sentences)

Explain/ analyze

textual evidence

-What does this citation

mean?

- How does this

passage/citation relate to

my topic sentence/thesis.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST SECTION. You must

restate what the quote/citation means. Then you

write your analysis: How does this relate to your

topic sentence- explain your understanding of the

text in 3-4 sentences.

Concluding Sentence

-Conclude the paragraph and

give readers an idea to what the

next paragraph will be about.

Restate your main point and make sure it connects

to your topic sentence.

Reread the description of Oliver's home
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

Woolf's word choices that suggests that Oliver is preoccupied with how others see him is "looked down"

Below is an excerpt:

<em>"...And from the middle window he </em><em>looked down </em><em>upon the glossy roofs of fashionable cars packed in the narrow straits of Piccadilly."</em>

This suggests that he had a sense of how others see him. The same word choices that revealed that he is preoccupied with how others see him is also seen in line 16 of "The Duchess And The Jeweller":

<em> "...and he would </em><em>look down</em><em> at his legs, so shapely in their perfect trousers; at his boots; at his spats.  They were all shapely, shining;..."</em>

Explanation:

The question is culled from "The Duchess And The Jeweller" written by Virginia Woolf.

The short story is centered on a jeweller known as Oliver Bacon who is the only developed character. The story has a reflection of the English society as seen during Woolf's time.  The jeweller, Oliver is seen as an ambitious and arrogant man. He became one of the high-ups in the society and lived at Piccadilly, the most expensive place in London.

Adeline Virginia Woolf is the author of "The Duchess And The Jeweller". She is an English writer who is considered to have pioneered and led the use of stream of consciousness as a narrative device.
