Long division I always remembered it as..

D-divide
M-multiply
S- subtract
C- compare
B- bring down
So with 5/135
U divide 5 by the first possible numbers u can find that it goes into so 13
13 goes into 5 at least 2 times so u put 2 on top
Multiply- multiply 2 by five to get 10 and put it under 13
Subtract- subtract 13-10 to get three and put that under 10
Compare- I’m pretty sure u compare 3 with 5 to make sure it’s less if it’s not less it’s wrong
Bring down- with the remaking 5 from 135 u bring it down to the three to make 35
Then start process over again but with last number u just divide 35 by 5 to get 7 so ur answer is 27
