Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Since Θ is an angle in the third quadrant, then secΘ < 0 and tanΘ > 0

Using the identity

sec x = \frac{1}{cosx} , then

cos x = - \sqrt{1-sin^2x}

         = - \sqrt{1-(-3/5)^2} = - \sqrt{1-\frac{9}{25} } = - \sqrt{\frac{16}{25} } = - \frac{4}{5}, thus

secΘ = \frac{1}{-\frac{4}{5} } = - \frac{5}{4}

---------------------------

Using the identity

tan x = \frac{sinx}{cosx} , then

tanΘ = \frac{-\frac{3}{5} }{-\frac{4}{5} } = - \frac{3}{5} × - \frac{5}{4} = \frac{3}{4}

Pls, can someone answer this, Explain, using words and numbers, how to subtract 7x - ( 6x + 13). Remember to include the solutio
Hitman42 [59]
So first you distribute the negative to the 6x and 13 which will flip the sign of both of them to -6x and -13 so take away the parentheses and the equation is now 7x-6x-13. You combine the x’s and you get 1x-13 or x-13

Two gift shops sell postcards. Each gift shop charges a fixed amount per postcard. The prices, in cents, for different numbers o
Snowcat [4.5K]

1st gift shop:

120/4 = 30 cents each

180/6 = 30 cents each

390/13 = 30 cents each

2nd gift shop:

204/7 = 29.14 cents each

192/8 = 24 cents each

270 /9 = 30 cents each

360/10 = 36 cents each

 so if both gift shops have a fixed price then the 9 post cards would be the answer since it matches 30 each like the 1st gift store

when you subtract one negative integer from another will your answer be greater than or less than integer you started with? Expl
pshichka [43]
Lets take   (-4) - (-6)
             = -4 + 6     (here we changed the sign because in integers when you are                                                     subtracting <span>an integer, we put its opposite..thats the rule .)
            =. -4 + 6 = 2

so here we got the answer as 2 .....this shows that </span>your answer will be less than the integer you started with ....this is because here in subtraction we will first change the sign and then follow the same rules of addition ...so here if both the numbers have opposite signs then we subtract and put the greater number sign .....
