y = 2x + 3

When x= -2  we get y = 2(-2) + 3 = -4 + 3 = -1

When x = 0 we get y = 2(0) + 3 = 3

When x=1 we get y = 2(1) + 3 = 5

When x=3 we get y = 2(3) + 3 = 6 + 3 = 9

Answer: bottom line is     y -1 1 3 5 7 9

I'll leave the drawing to you.  We just pick two points on the curve and draw the line through them.  It doesn't really matter which two. Draw the line through (-2,-1) and (3,9).

<h3>Answer:  5</h3>

===================================================

Explanation:

Everywhere you see an x, replace it with -5. Then use the order of operations PEMDAS to simplify

f(x) = -x^2 - 7x - 5\\\\f(-5) = -(-5)^2 - 7(-5) - 5\\\\f(-5) = -(25) - 7(-5) - 5\\\\f(-5) = -25 + 35 - 5\\\\f(-5) = 10 - 5\\\\f(-5) = 5\\\\

Keep in mind that for the x^2 term, you are squaring all of x = -5, which includes the negative as well. So that means

x^2 = (-5)^2 = (-5)*(-5) = 25

but sticking a negative out front makes

-x^2 = -(-5)^2 = -25

ddd [48]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the observed frequencies for the outcomes as follows:

To check this we can use chi square goodness of fit test.

H_0: equally likely\\H_a: not equally likely

(Two tailed test at 5% significance level)

Assuming equally likely expected observations are found out and then chi square is calculated as (0-E)^2/E

Df = 6-1 =5

Outcome Frequency Expected frequency (Obs-exp)^2/Exp

Lola is saving money for a new bike. The first month, she saves $50 from her birthday. Lola plans to save $10 per month thereaft
weqwewe [10]
So this can be translated like the following:
Bike costs= 173 dollars She currently has 107. She saves 11 dollar per week to get the bike so the formula is:
173 = 107 + 11X where X is the number of weeks

Step 1: bring the 107 to the other side to get 173-107 = 11X
Step 2: divide both sides by 11 to solve for X to get this (173-107 )/11 = X
Step 3: Calculate and simplify 66 / 11 = X which is the same as X= 6

So the answer is it will take jennifier 6 weeks to save for the bike.
