How did the world respond to bosnia genocide

History
1 answer:
cricket20 [7]3 years ago
6 0
The war in Bosnia was widely covered by the world media, and world public opinion denounced the actions of the Serbs. Despite this, no major steps were taken to end the genocide. Extensive international negotiations and deliberations regarding the question of intervention in Bosnia allowed the genocide to take place with no country acting to end it. Only in mid-1994 did the picture change. The United States intervened by offering Milosevic economic incentives in exchange for a peace agreement. A rift was created between Serbia headed by Milosevic and the Serbs in Bosnia. Violence continued until August 1995, when NATO forces began attacking the Serbs from the air, which led to the Serbs’ surrender and the end of the war in Bosnia. The Dayton Accords, signed after the war, split Bosnia into separate Serb and Muslim autonomous regions. The Serbs stayed in Bosnia.

Does the history of the American Revolution prove that owning small firearms is a way for citizens to defend themselves against
Yakvenalex [24]

The history of the American Revolution does not prove that owning small firearms is a means for citizens to defend themselves.

Does the American Revolution support the Second Amendment?

Proponents of the Second Amendment had the notion that if civilians had small firearms, they would be able to defend themselves against tyrannical governments.

Yet this was not the case in the American Revolution because the people could not rely on small firearms to defend themselves against the British.

They had to rely on heavy artillery and arms which was what the British had as well.

What was General Sherman’s objective on his March to the Sea?
ss7ja [257]

The correct answer is A. To destroy military and civilian resources wherever possible

Explanation:

Sherman's March to the Sea was the name of a military campaign led by General William Sherman in 1864 as part of the Civil War, this campaign began in Atlanta and ended in Savannah. The main purpose and military strategy of the campaign was the "scorched-earth policy" in which soldiers from the Union destroyed the towns and cities they went through including military resources but also transportation networks and properties or similar that belong to the civilians as in this way the Confederacy could be weakened. This implies the objective of General Sherman's March to the Sea was to destroy military and civilian resources wherever possible.
