Ok, so I really don't remember a lot about sequences except for that they are related in some sort of equation. I'm not guaranteeing this is right but heres my best guess.

88511/16351= 5.41....

I'm assuming that 20251 will have the same ratio with the number before it so the number that is 5.41... times bigger than 20251 is 109622.  Thats my best guess. Sorry I couldn't help more.

a family has two cars. the first car has a fuel efficiency of 20 miles per gallon of gas and the second has a fuel efficiency of
Kryger [21]
Let the number of gallons consumed be the first car be x, and that of the second car, y. Then:
x + y = 50 . . . . . . . (1)
20x + 15y = 850. . . (2)

(1) x 20 => 20x + 20y = 1000 . . . (3)
(2) - (3) => -5y = -150 => y = -150/-5 = 30

From (1), x + 30 = 50 => x = 50 - 30 = 20

Therefore, first car consumed 20 gallons and the second consumed 30 gallons.

Find the ratio of 18 and 30 reduced to simplest form...
saveliy_v [14]
First you'll take 18/2 which equals 9. Then 30/2 which equals 15. Then you can divide both 9 and 15 by 3. So 9/3 equals 3 and 15/3 equals 5. So the answer is 3:5.

Jim thinks of a number (n). He adds 5 to the
Karolina [17]

Answers + Step-by-step explanation :

a) the equation should be:
7(n + 5) = 91 since you first add 5 to n and then multiply it by 7. The answer is 91 so that is on the other side of the equal sign

b) we can solve our equation to find for n, the number jim thought of

7(n + 5) = 91
I will use the distributive property.

7n + 35 = 91

Subtract 35 on both sides

7n = 56

Now divide 7 on both sides to find n

n = 8

The number Jim was thinking of was 8! this should be correct, hope this helps!
