Hi
As we have studied that Mitochondria is an organelle that is considered to be the power house of the cell. It is the main site where production of energy along with its supply to other organelles occur. All eukaryotic organisms contain mitochondria in their cells, however, Monocercomonoides are a newly discovered group of organisms which are eukaryotic but can happily live without the presence of mitochondria because they dont contain it in their cells.
It is believed that in Monocercomonoides, the iron-sulfur cluster assembly pathway is replaced by cytosolic sulfur mobilization system (SUF) pathway due to which the organism is able to easily carry out all its life processes. Evolutionary studies have also shown that previously these organisms had mitochondria but lost it during evolutionary processes.
Hope it helps!
The statement about the cell membrane is true is "<span>It is present in animal cells only", the answer is letter B. Cell membrane does not involve in communication, it only protects the organelles in the cell. It is not rigid since it does not exist in the plant.</span>

The continuation of life depends on both <u>sexual </u>and <u>asexual reproduction</u>.
Reproduction is a process where an organism gives rise to another organism, often called as "offspring". Its a process of increasing the population of any species on Earth. There are two types of reproduction process-
1. Asexual- where exact copies of parent organism are formed, also only single parent is involved.
2. Sexual- Two parents of opposite sexes are involved, offsprings are not identical to parents. There is scope of variation in sexual reproduction.
