Answer:

Personally, I disagree and agree.

Explanation:

"Love overshadows hate dramatically, since it is the passion of the protaganist and since Shakespeare has lavished his most moving poetry upon the love scenes."

Basically, what he's saying here is that love is more powerful than hate because Juliet/Romeo are so passionate about it. Furthermore, Shakespeare's most famous lines often come from the love scenes in Romeo and Juliet.

Love is not more powerful than hate. In fact, these two emotions are about the same level of intensity. They both require focus on a person/multiple people, they both require energy, and they both are in general, just powerful feelings that have been demonstrated through history. One can be stronger than the other. It just depends on the situation.

Secondly, his reasoning makes sense. Love, in this instance, overcomes the family feud that the two protagionists' families have. So, love does overpower hate in this story. However, take that with a grain of salt, because the love that happens ends in a tragedy. Both protaganists die because they, arguably, loved a little too much.

Thirdly, I don't agree with the statement "and since Shakespeare has lavished his most moving poetry upon the love scenes." Sure, his most famous lines are from these scenes, but that shouldn't be a reason to why love overpowers hate. It should just be an example of what Shakespeare wanted to achieve. He wanted to show that in this instance, love can be more powerful than hate. Does that mean it is in every situation? No.

Those are my ways of seeing it, I hope you get a good grade and I hope you understand Shakespeare, because it is really hard to. Good luck!

Why is cutting off his hair such a major step for Ponyboy?
zepelin [54]

Answer: Ponyboy's hair marks him as a Greaser, which Ponyboy is proud of. All of the Greasers are proud of their long, greased hair. That is why when the Socs threaten to cut hair, the threat is so worrisome. To a Greaser, having his hair cut would be the equivalent of having a body part cut off.

The most prominent kind of rhetorical appeal Thomas Paine uses here is OD. Diction.

Rhetorical appeals are the qualities of an argument that make it truly persuasive. To make a resounding argument, a creator appeals to a reader in several ways. The 4 exceptional kinds of persuasive appeals are trademarks, ethos, pathos, and kairos. emblems, the appeal to common sense, are used to convince an audience with reason.

The rhetorical appeals (additionally called the Aristotelian triad or Aristotelian appeals) are three primary modes of an argument written by means of the Greek truth seeker Aristotle in his work Rhetoric. The 3 rhetorical appeals are ethos, trademarks, and pathos.

Expert rhetorical appeals can help writers to build stronger arguments and be more persuasive in their writing. by means of identifying rhetorical appeals, writers can start to apprehend when it's far more appropriate to apply one approach over another.

Argue any two reasons why both men and woman could become victims of gender based violence
Rashid [163]

Women who get angry at their boyfriends, husbands, etc. may think that it's alright to hit them since they're 'stronger' than women, and women are rarely ever seen getting prosecuted for domestic violence. Men may think it's okay to assault women based on their clothing, and will project their own aggression on to a less threatening source, women, since they are seen as weaker.
