The 80 is the height of the platform that the rocket is launched off of.

The general form of this function is

h(t) = -16t² + v₀t + h₀.

-16 represents the gravitational force.  v₀ is the initial velocity the rocket is launched with.  h₀ represents the initial height it is launched from.

Can someone help me with this two because I am very confused
Tasya [4]

Answer:

Let the height of the larger box = h

and length and width of the larger box = l and w , repectively

Now , Let find the volume of the larger box

Volume = length * width * height

So Volume of the larger box = l*w*h = lwh

Now the question says

the height of the smaller box is 80% of the height of the larger box

It means

Height of the smaller box = 80% of h = 0.80*h = 0.80h

and the other two dimensions are same so it means length and width of the smaller box = l and w

so, Volume of the smaller box = l*w*0.80h = 0.80lwh

So the Difference in the volume of the two boxes = Volume of larger box - Volume of smaller box

therefore , Difference in the Volume of two boxes = lwh - 0.80 lwh = 0.20lwh

Yakvenalex [24]

Answer:

y = 2x

Step-by-step explanation:

There is a proportional relation between the number of pairs of socks that Jason buys,x, and the total cost (in dollars), y.

Let us assume that the relation is y = kx ..... (1)

{Where k can be assumed to be the constant of proportionality}

Now, given that Jason can buy 2 pairs of socks for $4.

So, from equation (1), we can write 4 = 2k, ⇒ k = 2

Therefore, the equation (1) becomes y = 2x. (Answer)

Natasha2012 [34]

Answer:

 3 miles per hour

Step-by-step explanation:

he runs 1/3 mile in 1/9 of an hour

then

he runs (we multiply both sides by 9)

 9×(1/3) mile in 9×(1/9) of an hour

then

he runs

 (9/3) mile in (9/9) of an hour

then

he runs

 3 mile in 1 hour
