Answer:

South America, the fourth-largest continent, extends from the Gulf of Darién in the northwest to the Tierra del Fuego archipelago in the south. Along with the islands of Tierra del Fuego, the continent includes the Galápagos Islands (Ecuador), Easter Island (Chile), the Falkland Islands (United Kingdom), and the Chiloé and Juan Fernández archipelagos (Chile).

South America and North America are named after Italian navigator Amerigo Vespucci, who was the first European to suggest that the Americas were not part of the East Indies, but an entirely separate landmass. The portions of the landmass that lie south of the Isthmus of Panama became known as South America.

Today, South America is home to the citizens of Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, the Falkland Islands, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Paraguay.

South America’s physical geography, environment and resources, and human geography can be considered separately.

South America’s human landscape is deeply influenced by indigenous populations and their connection to the physical environment. These deep relationships continue to flourish on the continent through celebration, religion, and political action

What is the volume of the cylinder below? 336 1344 5376 6000(Help with both ASAP!??
erica [24]

The first one would be D, 88 degrees. Since it is a kite, you can add an angle bisector down the middle (vertically) to get 2 triangles. The 60 angle becomes 30 because you are cutting it in half, and angle S is 106 because the horizonal agles are the same. All of the angles in a triangle add up to 180, so you can find the missing angle in one of the triangles. 30 + 106 = 136. 180 - 136 = 44. 44 × 2, since you are now finding the angle of the kite and not just one triangle. 44 × 2 = 88. I apologize if this explanation is confusing, I didn't really know how to explain it.

What are the order of the stages of primary succession beginning with glacial retreat as seen at glacier bay?
adelina 88 [10]

Answer: The order of the stages of primary succession as seen at glacier bay are Pioneer, Dryas, Alder, and Spruce stages.

Explanation:

Primary succession is the process that plant species use to colonize a sterile habitat. The first living organisms, the pioneer species are hardy species, for example moss that are able to survive in any habitat. These change the unfavorable environment (lava, rock) to soil.

In Glacier bay, Alaska, the dryas came next, providing the soil with Nitrogen, then Alders which maintains the nitrogen content in the soil. This is followed by spruce trees which grow in the the shade of the alder .
