Es cierto que en la década de los 90, Pablo Escobar ofreció al presidente de Colombia, pagar la deuda externa.

Según mi opinión el presidente hizo bien en no aceptar el ofrecimiento porque hubiera sido algo atroz el que un delincuente usara el dinero ilícito, producto de la venta de droga, como una forma de saldar la deuda externa de Colombia que en esa época ascendía a 20,000 millones de dólares. De haber aceptado la oferta, el gobierno Colombiano se hubiera doblegado ante el poderío económico del narcotráfico.
