Answer:

The answer is 100 inches. (Please read how I got my answer)

It is 100 inches, because you need to find the whole area inside each figure, inside the actual entire figure, not the figures inside of the figure. Which would mean, 2in and 2in would be 4in, 2in and 3in would be 6in and 2in and 5in, would be 10 in. You can then multiply them all together. That would be 100.

Maria and Veronica were asked to add two whole numbers. Instead, Maria subtracted the two numbers and got 10 while Veronica mult
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

31 + 21 = 52

Step-by-step explanation:

Calculation for the correct sum

First step is to factor 651 which means that 1 * 3 * 7 * 31 will give us 651

Second step is to find 3 possibilities numbers that will give us 10 as the difference

3 possibilities numbers =(31, 21), (93, 7), (217, 3)

Third step is to make use of equation 1 to find the numbers that has 10 as the difference among the 3 possibilities numbers

The number that has 10 as the difference is (31, 21) because 31-21 will gives us 10

Now Equation 1 = X – Y = 10

Where,

X=31

Y=21

Hence,

31 – 21 = 10

Since 31 – 21 gave us 10 as the difference which means that the correct sum will be:

Correct sum =31 + 21 = 52

Therefore the Correct sum is 31 + 21 = 52

Tim and Fred were able to restock the store in 7 hours together. It takes
Galina-37 [17]

Answer:

When 2 people work together the total time equals

Total Time = Time 1 * Time 2 / (Time 1 + Time 2)

Let's solve for Time 1 (which will be Tim's time.)

7 hours = Time 1 * 9 / (Time 1 + 9)

7 * Time 1 + 63 = Time 1 * 9

63 = 2 * Time 1

Time 1 = 30.5 Hours (Tim's Time)

Double Check

Total = 30.5 * 9 / (30.5 + 9)

Total = 274.5 / 39.5

Total = 7 Hours

Again, Tim's Time is 30.5 Hours

AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

(7 - 4n) · 6 = 42 - 24n

Step-by-step explanation:

The distributive property: a(b - c) = ab - ac

(7 - 4n) · 6 = (7)(6) - (4n)(6) = 42 - 24n
