Answer:

The reason why most big Greek cities are located near the sea is because big part of Greece's economy comes from trading. Greece produces a lot of things in the factories close to the big cities so they need ports close by. Also a huge part of Greece's economy is supported by tourism and the sea is something that attracts more tourists. It's important to know that Greece doesn't have a really good economy so being in the Mediterranean is really helpful.
