Why did America's response and sanctions make the Japanese desperate? The Japanese felt shamed by the lack of American response.

The Japanese urgently needed oil and steel imports to keep their war engine going. The Japanese needed to capture the American naval ships to add to their own navy. The Japanese needed America's approval to establish themselves as a world power.

Answer:

look below

Explanation:

right so when japan attacked America in 1941 they thought that they would do anything to stop a war like negotiate or something. but instead they just stirred a sleeping beast. because america was the richest country at the moment and the leader in economics. a couple hours after pearl habour lady lex ( formerly known USS Lexington ) USS enterprise and York Town were on the hunt to find the japenese task force that sent the carrier- based aircraft. japan had already invaded half of asia but they obviously didnt have enough resources to power their navy and air force the heart of the japenese power. they tried to knock australia out of the war by doing a secong pearl habour on them sinking some scout planes warships and subs. they also destroyed some artilery batteries. but that werent enough. to the end of the japenese they were so desperate that they were using kamikaze planes, rockets and subs. they even sent Yamato to beach it self on the beaches of okinawa to stop the americans and use the ship as a giant artilery platform.
