Bella is working on the world record for longest beaded necklace. She has 10,000 glass beads that have a diameter of 0.4 cm. If
lozanna [386]

Answer:

The necklace will be 4,000 cm long

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we want to calculate the length of the necklace

Mathematically, that would just be the product of the beads and the diameter of each bead

Hence, we have

10,000 * 0.4 = 4,000 cm

Calculate s26 for the arithmetic sequence in which a14=4.1 and the common difference is d=1.7
sweet-ann [11.9K]

Answer:

The value of s_{26}=84.5

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given  a_{14}=4.1

d=1.7

We have to find s_{26}

So, a_{14}=a+13d from the formula

a_n=a+(n-1)d

When n=14

a_{14}=a+(14-1)(1.7)=a+13(1.7)

4.1=a+22.1

-18=a

a=-18

Using the formula:

s_n=\frac{n}{2}[2a+(n-1)d

When n=26

s_{26}=\frac{26}{2}[2(-18)+(26-1)(1.7)]

On simplification we get:

s_{26}=84.5

Please help w/ composition of functions. I did 3√14-(-11) -8 and got 7 as my answer and would appreciate verification that it's
dangina [55]

SOLUTION

We were given

\begin{gathered} f(c)=3c-8\text{ and } \\ g(c)=\sqrt[]{14-c} \\ We\text{ want to find } \\ (fog)(-11) \end{gathered}

First we will find

\begin{gathered} f(g(c)\text{ we have } \\ f(g(c)=3(\sqrt[]{14-c})-8 \end{gathered}

Now

\begin{gathered} (fog)(-11)\text{ becomes } \\ (fog)=3(\sqrt[]{14-c})-8 \\ (fog)(-11)=3(\sqrt[]{14-(-11})-8 \\ =3\sqrt[]{14+11}-8 \\ =3\sqrt[]{25}-8 \\ (3\times5)-8 \\ =15-8 \\ =7 \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is 7

Please help me with this two questions
Annette [7]

Answer:

a.) 10 months

b.) Kool Karate

c.) Karate Klub

Step-by-step explanation:

Karate Klub : y=25x+200

Kool Karate : y=35x+100

A.) First, set the equations equal to each other then solve for x. A.) 25x+200=35x+100\\\\

take away 100 from both sides

25x+100=35x

take away 25x from both sides

100=10x

divide 10 from both sides so x can be by itself and equal to 1

10=x

This means that at 10 months, the cost is the same for both.

B.) Substitute 6 for x in both equations

Karate Klub : y=25(6)+200\\y=350

Kool Karate :y=35(6)+100\\y=310

The cost for Kool Karate is cheaper, so that is what he should join.

C.)  Substitute 12 for x in both equations.

x=12 because there are 12 months in a year.

Karate Klub:y= 25(12)+200\\y=500

Kool Karate:y=35(12)+100\\y=520

The cost for Karate Klub is cheaper, so that is what he should join.
