The geological features that cause oil and Natural gas to be trapped in the rock is the formation of TRAPS and these traps are divided mainly into two types : structural traps and stratigraphic trap. but the most common and important kinds of traps are mainly structural traps because they are found in almost all the rocks where oil and gas is discovered.
The structural traps are : Anticlinal traps,and fault traps. while stratigraphic trap is : Salt dome trap
