Cambodia is the only country that has a building on its flag. It depicts the complex of the Ankor Wat temple. It represents Integrity, Justice and Heritage.
CNN has a program called CNN Heroes, which recognizes the work individuals do to make a difference in their communities and contribute to humanitarian aid. For its 2017 edition, one of the selected Heroes was Samir Lakhani. He created the Eco-Soap Bank, an initiative that recycles soap (after sanitizing them) from hotels to create new soap bars that are then distributed to rural communities. This initiative benefits people who cannot afford buying soap by improving their access to better hygiene, mitigating illness and disease related to lack of sanitation. Also, it helps reduce waste generated by hotels and provides an opportunity for disadvantaged women get access to a reliable source of income and free education. After being elected a CNN Hero, Lakhani was able to expand his efforts from Cambodia to other countries like: Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Lebanon, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos and Eswatini.
