Trade also increased communication between different civilizations as was the case of the Silk Road that connected ancient China with other regions of the planet such as Asia, North Africa, and Eastern Europe. This connection and communication increase wealth affect religion and towns in terms of buildings because it allowed periods of prosperity to many kingdoms that were shown through the magnificent buildings and temples they constructed. Merchants accessed new markets and some of them moved to different places or trade posts.
