Find the geometric mean of sqrt 77 and sqrt 343.
astraxan [27]

Answer:

12.75

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the geometric mean of sqrt 77 and sqrt 343 is given below:

As we know that

Geometric mean = \sqrt{ab}

where

a is the first number = \sqrt{77}

And, the b is the second number = \sqrt{343}

Now first we have to convert into a number

For a it, is = 8.78

And, for b, it is = 18.52

Now the geometric mean is

= \sqrt{8.78 \times 18.52}

= 12.75

What’s this answer to this problem
Alisiya [41]

Answer

Area: 3,818

Perimeter: 258

Type: Rectangle

Solution

To find the Area you have to do

Length x Width

so it is 83 times 46 which is 3818

To find Perimeter it is

Length + Length + Width + Width

or 83 + 83 + 46 + 46 = 258

For type i don’t know so probably the type is rectangle

Zoe Had A Board 5 And 1/4 Feet Long. She Cut Off A Piece. Now The Board Is 3 And 5/6 Feet Long. How Long Was The Piece She Cut O
Sergio039 [100]
Well first you need to find the LCM (least common multiple) of 4 and 6 (the denominators) so that you can subtract them from each other.

4: 4,8,12,16,20
6: 6, 12, 18, 24
The LCM is 12.

Now we can subtract the two mixed numbers by turning them into improper fractions.

5 3/12 -> 27/12
3 10/12 -> 42/12

42-27=15

The fraction is 15/12, which simplifies into 1 1/4.

She cut off 1 1/4 feet of the board.

Describe the proportion method for solving a percentage problem:
kvasek [131]

EXPLANATION

First you will need TWO numbers. One being the percentage and the other being the number your trying to find the percent out of.

EXAMPLE

Imagine you have 130 crayons. Out of the 130 crayons you found that 15% of them were broken.

First you want too take the 15% and put it over 100, because a percentage always goes over 100. Now that you have the 15/100 you now wanna take the 130 crayons and put the variable X over it. Now that you have the fractions 15/100 and X/130 you want to cross multiply them to get 100x and 1950. For the final step your going to want to take 1950 and divide it by 100 to get your answer, 19.5.

I hope this helped you find out the method for solving a percentage problem while using proportions.
