Answer:

306 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

The surface are of a triangular prism is given as:

A = ab + 3bh

where a = Length of side

b = base length

h = height of the prism

If the dimensions are 3 times as great, that means a becomes 3a, b becomes 3b and h = 3h

Therefore, the new surface area becomes:

A1 = (3a * 3b) + 3(3b * 3h) = 9ab + 27bh

A1 = 9(ab + 3bh)

=> A1 = 9A

The surface area of the initial prism is 34 square inches, therefore, the surface area of the new prism will be:

A1 = 9 * 34 = 306 square inches

How would you teach something you have learned this year in Math to someone younger than you? Write more than 5 sentences
rewona [7]

Answer:

ok here ya go

Step-by-step explanation:

A way that I would teach someone something that I learned in math this year to someone else is simple. I would start by writing everything out so that they have a visual of what I am teaching them. I would also use a visual of a real world situation so that it relates to something they would understand. Teaching someone younger than you means they probably will not understand as easy as you understood it so, I would be very slow and make sure if they are confused to help them. I would also make sure not to be too bossy, understanding that they may not understand and that is ok.

Parallelogram JKLM is shown on the coordinate plane below:
Harlamova29_29 [7]

if JKLM is rotated 270° clockwise around the origin, the new vertices is at:

J'(-2, -6), K'(-6, -4), L'(-3, -3) and M'(1, -5)

Transformation is the movement of a point from its initial location to a new location. Types of transformation are rotation, reflection, translation and dilation.

Rotation is the movement of a figure about a fixed point. If a point A(x, y) is rotated 270° clockwise around the origin, the new point is A'(-y, x).

The vertices of the parallelogram is at J(-6, 2), K(-4, 6), L(-3, 3) and M(-5, -1). Therefore if JKLM is rotated 270° clockwise around the origin, the new vertices is at:

J'(-2, -6), K'(-6, -4), L'(-3, -3) and M'(1, -5)

Therefore K′(−6, −4); L′(−3, −3) is the correct option
