Write a paragraph discussing the fall of the Roman empire. you may choose to talk about ONE of the following: economic factors,
quester [9]
The Roman Empire fell because of they relied on conquering foreign lands for economic development. Once they reached their greatest expansion they dealt with many internal struggles. Their greatest piece to the economy was slaves. Slaves were utilized throughout and sold throughout the Roman Empire. This became their primary source of income since they were an expansionist empire. Once they were halted in their advances into Germania, or the Germanic tribes they became very stagnant in their expansion. Do to this they had less and less slaves being sold throughout the empire and less coinage and jewelry conquered from foreign lands. This brought the downfall of the Romans economic growth, and started making the empire struggle. Once the economy started to fail then the rest of everything else began to crumble since the empire had no way of paying for the necessities it needed to keep such a vast empire alive.
