myrzilka [38]

Urbanization refers to the population shift from rural to urban residency, the gradual increase in the proportion of people living in urban areas, and the ways in which each society adapts to this change.

Industrialisation is the period of social and economic change that transforms a human group from an agrarian society into an industrial society, involving the extensive re-organisation of an economy for the purpose of manufacturing.

Identify two factors that encouraged the growth of the suburbs in the mid 1900s
steposvetlana [31]
1.  Homes in the suburbs were affordable to middle class families.  This had to do with lower land prices in suburbs vs. the city and also new building practices that brought down the cost of these suburban homes.

2.  The G.I. bill provided loans to military veterans, so this also helped them be able to afford "the American dream" of home ownership.

3.  The construction of highways facilitated travel into the cities for work from the suburbs.  (Note that the Federal Aid Highway Act was passed in 1956.)

4.  There was a perception that life in the suburbs would be safer and less susceptible to crime than life in the city.

That's several reasons you can work with.

List The seven effects of Age of Exploration
lukranit [14]
Explorers learned more about areas such as Africa and the Americas and brought that knowledge back to Europe.
Massive wealth accrued to European colonizers due to trade in goods, spices, and precious metals.
Methods of navigation and mapping improved, switching from traditional portolan charts to the world's first nautical maps.
New food, plants, and animals were exchanged between the colonies and Europe.
Indigenous people were decimated by Europeans, from a combined impact of disease, overwork, and massacres.
The work force needed to support the massive plantations in the New World, led to a 300 year slave trade that had an enormous impact on Africa.
The impact persists to this day, with many of the world's former colonies still considered the "developing" world, while colonizers are the First World countries, holding a majority of the world's wealth and annual income.
