Answer:

(a) (1) Relocation diffusion

(2) Expansion diffusion

(b) By transferring ideas, factors, and information from place to place

(c) Upgraded medical care in Tristan da Cunha

Explanation:

Diffusion or spatial diffusion in geography is the movement or proliferation of ideas, technology, cultures, people, objects, weather, diseases or other components from a place of origin to other places

The types of diffusion defined above are;

(1) Relocation diffusion

(2) Expansion diffusion

(3) Stimulus diffusion

(1) Relocation diffusion is the change of an objects position from one place to another, such as human migration

(2) Expansion diffusion

There are two types of expansion diffusion

(i) Contagious expansion diffusion involves the transmission of the factor being diffused from one person (the vector) to another person (the host)

Examples of contagious expansion includes

 • The spread of diseases from a place of origin to different places
 • Viral videos, news in social media
 • Religions

(ii) Hierarchical diffusion involves the spread of information from the topmost levels of an organisation down to the a wider group of hosts

(b) Globalization, is the proliferation or spread of a technology, an idea or other factors from their place of origin to other places such that the components of a single product such as a cassette recorder which consists of plastics from China, copper from Zambia, semiconductors from the United States etc. can be from different parts of the world which is a form of spatial diffusion

(c) In Tristan da Cunha, globalization, through the availability of the internet, has made it possible for a doctor to access tele-medical help and to share ideas and consult with doctors in other hospitals with more medical advanced technologies in order to treat more complicated ailments.

Help! I am confused on this psychology assignment. Please help with the following question. Is the question talking about motive
kiruha [24]

Yes. I would probably put actions along with each of these.

1. Physiological needs - these are biological requirements for human survival, e.g. air, food, drink, shelter, clothing, warmth, sex, sleep.

If these needs are not satisfied the human body cannot function optimally. Maslow considered physiological needs the most important as all the other needs become secondary until these needs are met.

2. Safety needs - protection from elements, security, order, law, stability, freedom from fear.

3. Love and belongingness needs - after physiological and safety needs have been fulfilled, the third level of human needs is social and involves feelings of belongingness. The need for interpersonal relationships motivates behavior

Examples include friendship, intimacy, trust, and acceptance, receiving and giving affection and love. Affiliating, being part of a group (family, friends, work).

4. Esteem needs - which Maslow classified into two categories: (i) esteem for oneself (dignity, achievement, mastery, independence) and (ii) the desire for reputation or respect from others (e.g., status, prestige).

Maslow indicated that the need for respect or reputation is most important for children and adolescents and precedes real self-esteem or dignity.

5. Self-actualization needs - realizing personal potential, self-fulfillment, seeking personal growth and peak experiences. A desire “to become everything one is capable of becoming”

Explain the formation of decubitus ulcers
timurjin [86]

FORMATION OF DECUBITUS ULCER:

Decubitus Ulcer, also termed as Bed sores often occur when the pressure of one’s body weight cuts off the blood supply to that organ where the pressure is applied leading to death of tissues.

It is most common among the patients who are bed ridden and among the people who sits or sleeps for a majority amount of time. When an individual is seated or is sleeping for a long time, the body exerts a pressure at the point of contact that is in between the body and the firm surface, like bed or a wheelchair. This would lead to cut off of blood supply to the point where the pressure is applied which would lead to damage of skin and tissues eventually leading to the death of tissues.
