  • This event shocked the whole world and received massive condemnation from every part of the world. After the incident, there was a strong call for securing peace in Ireland.
  • Both the unionist and the nationalist community south to end the conflict and various peace talks were initiated to bring ceasefire. Finally on 10 April 1998, an agreement called the Good Friday Agreement was signed to end the Northern Ireland's Troubles.
