How did the cold war led to conflict
Bogdan [553]
the Cold War is a conflict between the Communist nations led by the Soviet Union and the democratic nations led by the United States. The Cold War was a state of geopolitical tension after World War II between powers in the Eastern Bloc the Soviet Union and its satellite states and powers in the Western Block the United States its nato allies and others. Historians do not fully agree on the dates, but a common timeframe is the period between 1947 the year the Truman Doctrine a US foreign policy pledging to aid nations threatened by Soviet expansionism was announced and 1991 the year the Soviet Union fell.

"Do you think the US should continue to get involved in the Middle East"?
Art [367]

Answer:

It depends.

Explanation:

If the president wants to get involved with The Middle East that is his decision. I think if they need something from us we should have a trade instead of giving it away. We usually get oil from The Middle East, so that sets us in a vulnerable position. If for some reason they stop giving us oil, where would we find more? America needs to be self reliant. We can still make trade deals but I think we should be prepared in case anything happens. For example, China. We relied on them for lots of items. Now that the borders are closed, we don't have access to those items anymore. (That's just my opinion.)

Assuming that this is referring to the same excerpt regarding popular sovereignty that was posted before with this question, the correct response would be that in order for this to work, only the majority has to be satisfied--meaning that a large group of people (as big as 49.99%) will be ultimately unhappy.
