Respect the environment, making rational use of natural resources and taking steps to prevent pollution from the different processes involved in our industrial operations. Promote the sustainable use of raw materials and natural resources. In fact, our cognitive ability and understanding of nature obliges us to maintain the integrity of the environment. In photosynthesis, the electron that travels through the electron transport chain in the thylakoid membrane comes from____1____
Step2247 [10]
Answers:
1) Water
2) NADH

--------

1) Water donates the initial electron in photosynthesis. The process of photolysis splits the water into H+ and O2 (oxygen, a byproduct of photosynthesis), and releases electrons which are taken up by photosystem II.

2) The electron transport chain is in the last step of cellular respiration, oxidative phosphorylation. NADH donates the electrons, which are used to pump H+ against the gradient into the intermembrane space of the mitrochondria. These H+ flow back across the membrane through ATP synthase to generate ATP.

Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:

Growth hormone deficiency can result in dwarfism.

Children with this deficiency have abnormally short statue.

Explanation:

Growth hormone deficiency can result in dwarfism when inadequate amounts of growth hormone are produced in the body. Children that have this hormone defieciency possess an abnormal short stature and normal body proportions. This condition occurs when the pituitary gland do not produce enough growth hormone.

Growth hormone therapy in little children have been a subject of great ethical debate. The benefits of this therapy in children may not necessarily provide the means to overcome the short physical or psychological impact. The studies show individual variability in growth response. Growth hormone injections that is needed for treatment require careful consideration by the patient and parents.
